You may not mind how many people receive your file but *they* might mind a
lot.

It works the same way as when I tell you that you can download OpenOffice
from http://tinyurl.com/2x6a66
The "http://tinyurl.com/2x6a66"; is a *link*. It's about 25 bytes. The file
you download will be several megabytes. I'm sending you 25 bytes, not
several megabytes. If I sent those several megabytes to the several hundred
people on this list I'd (deservedly) be drummed out of the group.
