Could you please check something for me.
If you select the whole spreadsheet (left click the box in between A and
1 in the top left hand corner) and then >Format >Cells and you should
see all the formats for the cells. Left click the font tab. Is the
languauge you want to spell check in the language box. If so is there a
blue tick against the language.
I suspect you have not selected the language and so you will need to
select the language from the drop-down menu.
If there is no blue tick then you will need to download a spell checker
for your language.
