A few years ago, while perusing alt.2600, I came
across a mail bomb program. This was quite simple to
use, it asked for a "To" address, a "Supposedly from"
email address, and the number of mails to send (10,000
would seem a convenient number) - IIRC, there was a
way to attach a file - a meg of core dump would
probably do! The program worked from the UNIX command
line. I havn't been able to find the program again,
but if bo keeps it up, I will look further :). alt.2600, like most other usenet newsgroups these
days, seems to have been taken over by spammers and
political wingnut ranters.

Please please please do *not* do this. In the first place it's illegal in a lot of jurisdictions. In the second place, consider the possible consequences; if you can find this program then so can Bo/Lisbet (or one of their non-senile friends - see below). They could "bomb" each and every one of us. In the third place, if you read this list properly you'll discover that Mr. Mike Scott has been in touch with the ISP concerned and found out that the person responsible is some senile old gent who probably can't understand the instructions to unsubscribe himself.

No, just create a filter/rule that dumps messages from Bo/Lisbet into the great bit bucket in the sky.

Please.
