Hello Chris,

Normally, the Tiger version of OpenOffice.org 2.3 also runs on Leopard.
It has been tested for this, but the OOo Mac porting site hasn't yet been
updated to the Leopard release.

At the users list here, and at the Apple forums, a lot of problems have been
reported with the new Mac OS, and also with the new version of the X11
utility that is still needed to run OOo on Mac (unless you use the
-unstable- Aqua version, or switch to the NeoOffice fork). Issues about
Leopard itself, about the new X11 that wasn't sufficiently tested, issues
also with a slowed down OOo and time-out at startup...

A first update of Leopard, 10.5.1 should already solve some issues.
There was a series of X11 updates,
http://www.x.org/wiki/XDarwin
but this site isn't updated any more, so it's not clear now where to find
them...
Maybe here?

I for myself have decided to wait a little longer before buying a new
MacBook with Leopard...
untill the dust settles and some bugs are exterminated.
