Hello,

When you save in Word XP format, be sure to add the extension (.doc). The
easiest way to do this is to check the 'Automatic Filename Extension' box
(right hand, below) on the Save As dialog.

The other option is to save and send in PDF format (some companies refuse
this format because they want to use the data you provide). A PDF can't be
changed (so easily) and can be read by almost any computer [...]
