As of this moment, in a Thunderbird window I've got a draft for the
head of the Mathematics faculty at my university requesting that they
stop sending mail as .doc files. Not only is it .doc, but all the
links are through tinyurl! I've written to the student's association,
the government's students management and others. Some have started
sending pdfs. I have no problem with that, as they obviously will not
give up their letterhead.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
