" 3. Sell the MS Office original CDs to someone who is stupid enough to
buy it."
Personally I don´t think that OpenOffice.org is getting more users by
telling them how stupid they are if they use Microsofts OS and/or the
Office-suite. If someone wants to have two Office-suites, MS Office ans
OO.o, let them have it that way.
I am - in your definiton - stupid, ´cause I use OO.o and - GOD FORBID -
once bought my Dell with MS Office XP on it and WIn XP (hem-pc från
jobbet). I´m using both suits, my poor sod...
OO.o doesn´t have all functions that MS Office have, and MS Office don´t
have all functions either, so I use both. but what do I actually know
about this, stupid as I am.
IF OpenOffice want to get more user, don´t tell them how stupid they are
if they are using products from Microsoft. Instead, tell all about the
good stuff with OO.o.
Best regards from silly me...

I would probably do like this, if I not only had MS Office 2003 installed,
but also had the original installation CDs):
1. Uninstall MS Office.
2. Install OpenOffice.org.
3. Sell the MS Office original CDs to someone who is stupid enough to buy
it.
Result: You still have an office suite, but also more money... And every
upgrade/update is free, so you don't have to buy your office suite over and
over and over and over again.
The fact that you can use both, even at the same time, is so obvious and so
many people already said that in this thread, so I found it unnecessary to
mention again. The same goes for the discussion about setting default file
type and so on.
