I can click in one spot and then
shift-click in another and it works fine.
Drag selecting works fine in other non-OOo applications like WordPad.
Using Toshiba laptop with trackpad also a USB mouse but neither works.
WinXP Pro, status icons in Writer indicate INSRT & STD
ATM, this feature does not exist in OOo.
I've read somewhere that developers are working on it. So probably it
will be introduced in one of the coming releases, 2.4 or 3.0.
