About the problem:
Sometimes I do have trouble with the focus in the document.
What helps me out then, is choose File|Save and then Cancel.
Maybe this helps Brad as well?

Ahhh. If you/he meant a strictly rectangular block then you have a
point. I hadn't thought of that.
