The ability to change the subject line *without* affecting the threading is
very useful. This is especially true in this list where, for some obscure
reason, many messages have the subject set as "[moderated] YOU MUST GIVE A
SUMMARY HERE ". Changing that to something meaningful, if it can be done
without destroying the thread, is, IMHO, something to be encouraged.
