[users] Save command trouble

Hi,
    I'm using 2.3 and very often when I attempt to use the "save" command I 
receive an error message.  This happens quite often even with documents of ten 
pages or less.  Is there anything I can do to lessen this problem?  My OS is 
Windows XP.
