Go to your start menu and you will find the program components listed under the OOo entry in "Programs" or "All Programs" (depending upon which version of Windows you are using). After the first run of any OOo component (eg. Calc) you will find a "Quickstarter" icon in your taskbar tray (close to the clock). If you right click on that icon you will see that you can select and start any of the OOo components. If you want desktop icons for all or any parts of the program, you can right click on the desktop and choose "Create Shortcut" from the context (pop-up) menu. For more information about creating your own shortcuts read the "Help" facility for your version of Windows. Hope this helps.
