Just a follow up question. I have read the instructions and I was a bit
worried about the last bit where it says:
"you can remove the complete installation, INCLUDING YOUR USER DATA, by
simply deleting the installation folder"
Does that mean that if I remove one version of OO, the user data of the
other version is gone as well?
Thank you all in advance.
Unfortunately I can't boot into my windows drive this evening (linux
only), but looking at the drive I see the the windows settings are
similar to linux, whereby you have a user directory with your
personalized settings:
Documents and Settings/<username>/Application Data/OpenOffice.org2
I'm pretty certain that only if you remove that directory will your user
settings be lost. Others with Windows experience will correct me if I am
wrong so you might want to wait awhile before trying.
This is correct, Gary.
Doing the installation as written on the Wiki, in e.g. a folder
C:\Program Files\OOoDev\2.4....\ with the OOo-user data in that path,
gives the possibility to delete that version of OOo and the user-data
for that installation by just removing the folder. Other
OOo-installations-data will not be affected.
Kindest regards,
Cor
