OpenOffice can produce and use the MS Office file formats, but they are not identical. Access does have a few more things than Base. It would pay to dig into the details as to why it is a requirement. Is it that they have to produce .xls and .mdb files? Or are they going to learn about ABC funciton of Access that may not be in any other DB program. I don't agree with the whole 'have to purchase a single product' since this then ties all people into a single way (probably wrong) way of getting things done. /paul -- Processing Key for cracking HD DVD's: 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 ----- Try Torpark; a small portable, open-source, built on Firefox browser that enables anonymous browsing.
