First question, since you do have the option to print only selected sheets selected, when you actually print (not talking about print preview here), do you in fact get all of the sheets printed, or just your selected sheet?
The reason that I ask is that, IMO, the print preview feature of Calc is seriously flawed in that it does not, in fact, give a preview of what will be printed when the job is actually sent to the printer. It will give you a preview of all of the sheets, not just the one you have selected. But I've found that only the one that is selected actually gets printed, assuming that only one sheet is selected and that the option to only print selected sheets is selected.
There are other issues I have with the printing from Calc, but I won't go into those here because I don't think they relate to the problem that you're describing.
