Start > All Programs. Somewhere near the bottom of this list will be the
OpenOffice.org folder. Click it to open it. Drag the Writer icon to the
desktop, and you should get a menu allowing you to create a shortcut on the
desktop. Otherwise, right click on the Writer icon. The context menu will
give you this same choice.
