    The "Automatic" list does NOT include any custom styles associated with 
the document whether they have been applied or not. At least the template 
used by OOo Authors for writing their documentation has a long list of custom 
styles. In this case, the custom styles which have already been applied to 
the document do not appear in the "Automatic" list.
