I have tried at least 7 times to install openoffice.org I bielieve the file is too big for my 56kdialup connection my internet provider allows me 6 hours to be on line after that I am disconnected. The last time I tried to download it on sunday 1/19 when I went back to the computer it was locked and I needed a pasword but I didnt know what it was so I shut it down. You dont by chance have a file you could send me in 2 parts to download openoffice.org John H

I am not aware of parts of the Windows version. You can try the
torrents download, which can resume after interuption. Failing that,
you could download it somewhere else, such as work or library, where
high speed access is available and then copy it to a USB drive or CD. You can also purchace from one of the vendors listed on the OpenOffice
site. Please note we cannot vouch for any vendors. You may also find a
CD containing OpenOffice, included with some magazines.

In addition to what John Knott has suggested, there are a number of download managers listed on http://download.openoffice.org/index.html which will enable resumption of an interrupted download.

Apologies - _James_ Knott.

Unfortunately I received a bounce from John Forney's email address, so I don't know if he'll get any of our sage advice ;)
