It's an enhancement to the "C" language that began to implement OO structures or "classes" which I always translated (in my head) to Paragraphs or Modules being a COBOL programmer. -- and YES, I already know that is a VERY loose interpretation. Modules (separate small programs used in black-box format) being closer to what they actually are.
