I'm guessing, but I presume your instructor is using a Microsoft product? Either save your document as a .doc file (File|Save As and choose the type) (assuming by document you mean a word processor file), or if you are sending by e-mail: File|Send and pick PDF or Microsoft Word. -- Bob Long P.S.
