Microsoft Office should only be able to be obtained from Microsoft or
one of their authorised resellers. It is a product you must pay for (and
continue to pay for) unless you get the trial version which stops
working after several weeks unless you have paid for it.

What you will find at www.openoffice.org is an Office Suite called
"OpenOffice.org" which allows you to do a range of tasks (often
better, sometimes worse) similar to those that Microsoft Office will do.
Like buying a Ford or a Chev.

The only significant difference is that OpenOffice is free to download,
free to install on as many computers as you like (business or personal),
and free to adapt to your own purposes (if you are a programmer).

Minor differences include using a different language for macro's
(programs within documents) and a different preset default save format
(which can be altered).
