    It sounds like you need to modify the Master Slide you are using for your 
presentation. Very likely, for some reason, you have a text box with your 
name in it at the lower left corner of the Master Slide.
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthors2/. The "Getting Started 
with Impress" chapter of the Getting Started Guide should have information on 
how to make the modifications needed to the Master Slide. If not, it should 
be in the Impress Guide. Both are available for download at the web page I 
listed.
