[users] Receiving email in doc. format

Hello I am using Open office version 2.3.  Am very pleased with it.  My problem 
is often I am sent attachments in email, that are in doc. format.  Is there any 
way I can get them into open office?  I do not have MS Word.  Am using Windows 
vista operating system.  Thanks  Frank Finnell
