Margy, OpenOffice and its development build are available without restriction. There is a link on the right hand side of the OpenOffice download page titled "Development builds." It currently points to http://download.openoffice.org/680/ The link points to the page "OpenOffice.org Snapshot Builds and Release Candidates." The page has all the information needed to download a current development build and, if desired, participate in the development process.
