OpenOffice is a full office suite, comparable to Microsoft Office. It
includes word processor, spreadsheet, database, drawing and other
components. It can read & write Microsoft Office formats, other than
the latest Office 2007 formats and, by default, supports the ISO
standard file formats. It can also generate PDF's.

Unlike Microsoft Office, which costs a lot of money, OpenOffice is a
free download from www.openoffice.org. You can install it on as many
computers as you wish and also pass it on to others.
