I'd not used the File|New|Labels feature in OOo since 2.0.x and last
evening wife came home and needed to 'immediately' create some labels
for a trade show in the morning. Fired up OOo & selected File|New|Labels
and the correct label style (Avery 5660) - viola, label sheet came up &
she created the first label - no problems at all.
You didn't think to inspect the tabs in the first dialogue box? Entire page,
Single label and Synchronise contents are all on the 'Options' tab. ;-) It must
have been good wine!
