Example: cell A2 contains what the customer paid. A3 contains what the product 
cost. A4 contains the commission. A5 is what you have earned.

Click A5. Hit the equal sign key to place it into the cell. Click A2 which 
will enter it into cell A5 also. Hit the minus key to enter it. Click A3 to 
enter it. Hit the minus key to enter it again. Click A4 to enter it. The 
formula you have in cell A5 should be:  =A2-A3-A4. If it is, hit the Enter 
key.
