If I understand you correctly, you are asking to unregister a registered database. I think you can do this in two ways:
o Go to Tools | Options... | OpenOffice.org Base | Databases. Here you will see a list of the registered databases and the Delete button you have been looking for.
o With a text (Writer) or spreadsheet (Calc) document open, go to View | Data Sources. Right-click in the left panel - containing the list of data sources - and select "Registered databases ...". You will see a similar panel to the above, complete with Delete button.
If you have databases in the list that you never meant to be there, it is possible that you have allowed this when creating Base databases. In the second panel of the Database Wizard, the default option for the radio button at the top is "Yes, register the database for me". You can choose instead not to register the database as a data source if this is what you prefer.
