Perhaps I'm missing something, but the Alt key works in the following manner for me on Ubuntu linux 7.10 - US keyboard layout (Ubuntu OOo 2.3, Standard OOo 2.3.1, pre-release OOo 2.4rc1, and StarOffice 8/u9) in Writer: - Alt - activates the File menu - Alt again returns to document - Alt+Tab allows me to select another program, Alt+Tab from another program back to OOo puts the cursor back on the OOo document - Alt+F activates the File menu - Alt+e activates the Edit menu - Alt+v activates the View menu - Alt+i activates the Insert menu - Alt+o activates the Format menu - Alt+a activates the Table menu - Alt+t activates the Tools menu - Alt+w activates the Windows menu - Alt+h activates the Help menu Is that not what you are experiencing on your system(s)? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
