I am using OpenOffice.org1.1

In August 2007---A sudden power outage lost my material I was working on and I
kept getting this message:
OpenOffice.org cannot be started due to an error in accessing the
OpenOffice.ort configuraton data.

Please contact your system administrator

The following internal error has occurred:
            GetStorage: No Content

A neighbor came to help me get my documents back and he was unable to fix it.
But, he installed OpenOffice.org 2.3 and somehow...I was able to get back most
of my documents but I continued to get the error message before it would
open---I would have to click OK

Then last evening, I clicked on and could not get some of my documents to open
at all. Then I found a place where I could restorel OpenOffice.org 1.1 and must
use Java---so I clicked the one to use the Java already installed. This started
restoring at 7:00 p.m. and when I went to bed, it was still running. I checked
it at intervals during the night and it was still running. I checked it this
morning before going to church and it was still running at 9:30 p.m.

When I got home from church at 12:00 Noon---because of weather, our power had
gone off and all I had left was the original message above: Open Office.org
cannot be started due to an error in accessing the OpenOffice.org configuration
data. etc.

I am an 80 year old lady and don't fully understand how I am supposed to fix
this. Would you please give me simple directions that might work for me. I need
to get my documents back. But I don't want to tie up my computer all night
again for restoring. Thank You
