Hello, OpenOffice.org reads, edits and saves Word, Excel and Powerpoint, but not the new lock-in format that comes with the Vista versions aka MS Office 2007. Ask your correspondents to save their work in the 'old' doc, pps, xls, not the new docx, ppsx, xlsx.
