Gentlemen,

Yesterday I installed your softwear and now have, on my desktop, a folder "Open
Office.org 2.3 Installation Files". When opening said folder I find ten files,
including two "readmes". I also registered and completed a never-ending survey
document on line.

Please bear with me a moment .................. I am NOT (regrettably) a young
modern "techy" type IT nerd, but rather an old and very old fashioned "has
been" who's knowledge of IT could easily fit on a postage stamp. All I wish to
do is to write innumerable "dissertations", stories and whatever, and maintain
various financial and other worksheets for subsequent reference, reading,
printing or e-mailing.

So, how do I now interpret these ten files and, more to the point, how do I give
myself ready and quick access to your equivalent of Word and Excel so that I
can try them both out and even let you know how I got on with them?

I might add that I have not uninstalled anything yet and your Installation FAQ
was of no help - "currently being edited" ! Additionally, I could not send
this to you via your webb site as it automatically directs messages via my
Outlook Express which I seem to have totally corrupted some while ago and now
use Live Messenger on line instead.

Hoping you will bear with me and reply in due course.

Gil Rogers.
