Found this, after an hour of googling: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/microsoft-office/keyboard-ninja-insert-tables-in-word-2007/ It is relevant for MS Office, but it works in OOo as well. Simply dropping "Open Office Writer" from my google searches brought it up. I'd still like to know what the difference between ||| and +++ is, though. Thanks.
