Dear Barbara
This is the last Document I have saved in (doc) Ever document created since
then has not allowed me to "save as" in any of the MS Word programs listed
on the dropdown "Save as" menu. Something internally has happened with Open
Office - what I don't know.

If your problem is that others no longer seem to be able to open your
documents, rather than that there is an error when you try to save them,
you have probably accidentally unchecked the automatic filename extension
option in the Save As dialog. If the filenames no longer end with .doc,
they are not being recognized as Word documents.
