Good morning, I'm having difficulty opening the open office program. I have Windows XP, lots of memory, and have downloaded Open Office 3 x..when I try to open it, I get a screen with several icons...some with installer icons. When I attempt to open some of the icons, I get an error message: "Wrong OS or OS Version for application" I've downloaded your Java file and rebooted.
I strongly suspect that I have been unable to successfully install/open the program because I cannot remember my Administrator password! On one screen, the choice is to install with "current user"...that's where the bullet is - I tried that, and get the error message described above. I've tried all known passwords with the "Admininistrator" bullet checked, and get the error message -"improper password" - or something similar. I once was told how to insert certain commands to recover passwords, but now forget that. Do you have a page someplace that I can access and help me recover the Administrator password? Many thanks, and thanks for your efforts. I'd like to try your program "Draw" to see if I can build a family tree. The friendly folks at Staples suggested I try your program when I was flabbergasted at the price of the Visio Program. Anxiously awaiting whatever help you can offer. Regards Dave
