ECDL stands for the European Computer Driving License.
You need a license to "drive" a computer in Europe? ;-)
It is a *very useful* certificate to have if you want to get a
position as an office worker in the public administration.
Making fun and ignoring it is a good way to ensure OOo will not get
used in this important sector.
As I had never heard of it before, I wasn't ignoring it. However, if
that is in fact what the acronym stands for you don't need my help in
making fun of it. It's begging to be made fun of.
