I have just downloaded open office because I would like to try and learn
'calc'. I have a folder icon on my desktop and inside that lots of other
folders but i can't see anyway of opening a new file. Have I done
something wrong? Can someone help me get the birds icon up so I can open
calc?
Did you actually install it? With Windows, you have to double click on
the downloaded file, which starts the installation process. When that
completes, you should then have an OpenOffice folder and icons in the
Start menu. Do you have those?
