As others have mentioned, you can purchase on a CD from various distributors. However, given that the internet connection situation, I'd recommend that you try a download manager. You'll need that for downloaded any other large files/programs anyway, so you might as well find one that suits you. Several recommended download managers are listed here: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.2/downloadtools.html These will allow you to resume the download following a timout or lost dialup connection.
