You're confusing file formats (ODF) with applications (OpenOffice).
There are many applications that work with ODF files, OpenOffice

Please, where can I find a good list of such applications?
Off the top of my head, besides OpenOffice & StarOffice, there's
KOffice, AbiWord, Gnumeric, Symphony, Lotus Notes, Google Apps,
Gnumeric. I suppose you could even include Microsoft Office, if you
install the Sun ODF plugin.
