Under OpenOffice.org 2.x the functionality you require is provided by the Base module.

Using Base you would create a connection to your DB2 database with any of the following connectors:
ODBC
OLE DB
JDBC

( IBM offers all of these types of drivers for the DB2 database package.)

Once this datasource is defined using Base then it is a simple process to link - or - import the data into a Calc file.
