PowerPoint does for peoople that don't have PowerPoint.

Hello,
Does OpenOffice allow people to open .pps (PowerPoint) files?
Thank you.

You can get part way there. Using OpenOffice, save the presentation as a
.ppt file and then manually rename it to a .pps file. The Powerpoint
viewer will now auto-run it but, as I only have the viewer, I don't know
if it is possible to get into "edit" mode with Powerpoint itself.
Perhaps if a savvy user renamed it back to .ppt ??? Perhaps that's true
of all .pps files ???
Please try and let us know, it will be useful info. Thanks.
