As you can see in the above given link to a image, Its taken from oooCalc
v2.0 . in Calc and in other utility of openoffice.org 2.0 the numbers are
not printed properly.
I tried to change/add a local language i.e. bengali. by some command and
after that this is what i get for any number.

this issue is not there with kword/kspreadsheet.
I un-installed openoffice and then reinstalled it with removing all the
configuration files through synaptic package handler. But to no vein. Its
not helping me at all.

Try looking in Tools -> Options... -> Language Settings -> Complex Text Layout. Make sure that Numerals are set to “Arabic”.

Also, make sure that the language you are using on screen is not Bengali or some other Hindi Language. Do CTL-A. Then check Format -> Character and see what language is being used. If the language isn’t the one you prefer, then change it back (to some form of English?). If the language field(s) are empty, also change them to what you want.
