I depend on the Junicode font for linguistics work. Recently I have been forced to install version 6.15 (the latest, July, 2007) for purposes of compatibility with other users and web sites. Unfortunately, the kerning is completely wrong for the italic font. It looks as though OOo is ignoring the kerning tables and treating it as a monotype font.
No one on Windows or Mac tells me they have this problem with this font. Indeed, I have OOo/Windows installed in Windows 2000 running in a virtual machine on my Ubuntu computer. The same font is installed there and the italic looks fine. I have regenerated the cache and even rebooted the computer, but no luck.
