Thanks.

I just e-mailed him about a couple issues, and I am wondering if others
here experience the same thing, and whether the problem is in the
Junicode font or in OOo.

1. The bold and bold-italic of the en-dash are missing. My personal
style is to use the en-dash with spaces (per Bringhurst, Elements of
Typographic Style), but when I apply italic to a selection I have to go
back and change the en-dash back to regular.

2. The theta (Unicode 3B8) appears as italic. If I apply italic it
becomes wider. The bold and bold-italic versions are missing. I suspect
this is because 3B8 is the code for the theta in the Greek characters
block, and his Greek letters all appear sort of italic (although I
guess that is normal for Greek). Unfortunately, when using IPA for
linguistics, the theta is used a lot, especially if you're transcribing
English.

It would be good if someone here could confirm these issues on other
versions of OOo (I have 2.3.1 on Linux). Also confirmation that it
happens in *that other word processor* as well as OOo would exonerate
OOo as the cause of the problem.
