Actually, Jim, we are a group of volunteers - openoffice users trying to help other openoffice users. You might want to bear that in mind and adjust the tone of your messages. I don't use Mac but a quick google yields this: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/x11formacosx.html The page the contains the following note: Note 10.4 customers can install X11 by using the Tiger DVD installer disk.
