I received an announcement about the release of OOo 2.4 and clicked on the link to <http://download.openoffice.org/?cid=923658>. But when I clicked on the green Download bar, the installer that includes Java was downloaded. How do I get OOo 2.4 WITHOUT Java? I always have the latest version of JRE and JDK on my computer so don't want to duplicate bits.
Can an alternative download button be put on this page <http://download.openoffice.org/?cid=923658>? By the way, I hope OOo's 2.3 difficulty in finding the JRE -- even after the JRE has been REPEATEDLY specified -- has been fixed. After all, every other Java-dependent app on my computer finds it easily!
