You mean that you are saving from Calc - right? What you need is a
special case of comma-separated-value (or CSV) format.
o For "Save as type", choose "Text CSV (.csv)".
o In the "Export of text files" dialogue, for "Field delimiter",
choose "{Tab}" from the drop-down menu.
