First I must say thank you again for your magnificence in creating the latest version which I just installed after uninstalling version 1.1, of which I still have on CD. Thank you.
It was unclear to me whether or not I should have installed v. 2.4 over 1.1, but I took a chance on uninstalling.
While you can have both versions 1.x & 2.x on the same computer, if you
want to remove 1.x, you have to do it manually, as installing 2.x
doesn't affect it. It will replace older 2.x versions.
It worked fine, and the installer must have recognized my earlier version or
my resident StarOffice 8, as well.
My second point is a question: I have registered all your software
applications before, I have sent you $ Bucks $, and I'm sending more, so, must
I reregister OpenOffice v. 2.4 ?
At your registration web site <http://www.openoffice.org/license.html > I was asked about a Screen Name and a Password. If I had one I forgot both, so, I requested to be assigned a SUN account.
