I don't know why OOo is opening your saved emails unless you've set it to do so and I don't even know if that's possible. Or; Are you saying that clicking on the OE icon opens OOo? It sounds like either a file association has been changed or the link for a shortcut has been damaged. Neither should have been a result of installing OOo but strange things to happen now and then. Try explaining the problem again but replace the words "it" and "the program" with specific names, etc., so it's a lot clearer what you mean.
