But this blog post is 9 months old. Things have changed in the real
world since then.
I would like to see confirmation that this is still the case.
On that matter, I really don't care if OOo can export to OOXML, as I
can export to pdf which I know works. Or do another format that I
know works.
My question is will Microsoft follow the OOXML standard themselves?
Historically they will probably not directly support a truly "open
standard". I do not see anything that makes me feel that this truly
different and that M$ is truly a convert and "embracing" the Open
Software Community. It looks more like ther old sales floor scam of
"Bait & Switch".
Totally agree. In fact I hope procurement personnel take note of this
and actually specify support of ISO formats, not OOXML in their
specifications. Actually forcing the issue.
